Biography:
I will be finishing my freshman year at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and I expect to major in Networks & Social Systems Engineering, a program that combines computer science, mathematics, and hard sciences, with sociology, game theory, economics, and public policy. In furtherance of my interests and expected major, I have taken many relevant courses, including “Networked Life," Computer Science, Multivariable and Vector Calculus, and Physics Mechanics. During my Fall Term computer science class, I gained a solid foundation in Java, and this coming term I took a computer science course that introduces the more advanced OCaml language, a mathematical theory class called "Math Foundations of Computer Science,” and “Market and Social Systems on the Internet,” the follow up course to “Networked Life.” I am also taking a Legal Studies class in The Wharton School called “Corporate Responsibilities and Business Ethics.” I am interested in the intersection of technology, mathematics, and social interactions. As I see it, this could pretty much include a position at any company that employs technology to better reach its targeted audience or to make its business operate more efficiently, from trading firms, to social media networks, to internet retailers.
