Biography:
Laura Scheiber is a researcher, author, educator, and avid chocolate lover. She received her Ph.D. in 2012 from Teachers College, Columbia University in comparative and international educate. Her research interests span a number of areas including social entrepreneurship, education, violence prevention and Brazil. Passionate about empowering urban youth, she co-authored Unequal Fortunes: Snapshots from the South Bronx, which describes the necessary ingredients to ensure every child has an opportunity to pursue their dreams.
