Biography:

Maryam Mir is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in English. Her past work experience includes internships with Deloitte Consulting LLP, Ernst & Young and DDB Worldwide Communications Inc. She has also worked as an associate with the Wharton Social Impact Initiative, specializing in relationship management, business development and marketing strategy for Rebel Ventures, a local nonprofit predicated on nutritional health and youth development. During her time at Penn she also organized the annual TEDxPenn conference and led Penn Sangam, an Asian American Advocacy and Discussion group. She is deeply passionate about utilizing video and storytelling as a tool for social change - shifting perception and encouraging action - and is currently searching for opportunities in the area of socially conscious film.
